Back to Stieg Larsson. I love the monologue by Martin when he remarks that a person would rather come into the lair of the killer than offend that same killer. He says to his victim – I’m paraphrasing – “You knew something was wrong, but you came in anyway. People are so afraid of offending that they ignore their own suspicions.” Then he says to Mikeal, “Did I force you? Or did you come willingly?” And, of course, the victim came willingly… always, it seems.
